【摘要】:Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationoftensileandcompressivecreepandcreep-ruptureofplasticsunderspecifiedenvironmentalconditions(see3.1.3).Whilethesetestmethodsoutlinetheuseofthree-pointloadingformeasurementofcreepinflexure,four-pointloading(whichisusedlessfrequently)canalsobeusedwiththeequipmentandprinciplesasoutlinedinTestMethodsD790.Formeasurementsofcreep-rupture,tensionisthepreferredstressmodebecauseforsomeductileplasticsrupturedoesnotoccurinflexureorcompression.Testdataobtainedbythesetestmethodsarerelevantandappropriateforuseinengineeringdesign.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecificwarningstatementisgivenin6.8.2.Note1-ThisstandardandISO899aresimilarincontent,butarenotequivalent.
