【摘要】:Compressionsettestsareintendedtomeasuretheabilityofrubbercompoundstoretainelasticpropertiesafterprolongedactionofcompressivestresses.Theactualstressingservicemayinvolvethemaintenanceofadefinitedeflection,theconstantapplicationofaknownforce,ortherapidlyrepeateddeformationandrecoveryresultingfromintermittentcompressiveforces.Thoughthelatterdynamicstressing,liketheothers,producescompressionset,itseffectsasawholearesimulatedmorecloselybycompressionflexingorhysteresistests.Therefore,compressionsettestsareconsideredtobemainlyapplicabletoserviceconditionsinvolvingstaticstresses.Testsarefrequentlyconductedatelevatedtemperatures.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthetestingofrubberintendedforuseinapplicationsinwhichtherubberwillbesubjectedtocompressivestressesinairorliquidmedia.Theyareapplicableparticularlytotherubberusedinmachinerymountings,vibrationdampers,andseals.Twotestmethodsarecoveredasfollows:TestMethodSectionA-CompressionSetUnderConstantForceinAir7-10B-CompressionSetUnderConstantDeflectioninAir11-14
