【摘要】:TheparticlesizedistributionofRDF-5stronglyinfluencesthestorageandhandlingcharacteristicsofthefuel.Smallparticlestendtoblockflowthroughstoragebinsandfeedhoppers,althoughcorrectbinandhopperdesignswillalleviatethisproblemofblockage.ThistestmethodofmeasuringsizebyhandallowsaccuratedescriptionofRDF-5particlesizedistribution.Measurementbyhandissuperiortosievingtechniques,whereinparticlesmaybebrokenbythesizeseparationtechniqueitself.However,handmeasurementismoretime-consumingthansievingtechniques.1.1ThistestmethodisusedtodeterminethesizedistributionofaRDF-5sample.Sizeisdefinedasthemaximumlengthoftheparticle,wherelengthisdeterminedbytheRDF-5manufacturingprocess.Thatis,apellet,cubette,orbriquetteallhavearecognizablelength.displaysthesizesandshapesofsomeRDF-5particles.1.2AnairdriedRDF-5sampleisseparatedintocategoriesofdifferingparticlesizes.Thesizedistributionismeasuredastheweightpercentageofeachsizecategory.Agraphofafunctionofthecumulativefractionofmaterialbyweightfinerthanparticlesizeversusparticlesizeisplotted.Fromthisplotaretakenvalueswhichdescribethesizedistribution-theuniformityconstantandthecharacteristicparticlesize.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
